Traditions Never Die
Well...for as long as I can remember I have been hunting with my father. He brought me to my first bear bait when I was 4 years old, He helped me bait my first worm to catch my first Bluegill on my easy reel Power Rangers 2ft fishing pole. He was there the night I shot my first doe...all 70lbs of her! I used a hammy-down Redline Compound. 22lb draw weight with a aluminum arrow that was maybe 25 inches long with a 100 grain trusty ole' Thunderhead. At 16 yards that yearling started my hunting career. Now every fall when the leaves start to change I venture into the woods with my father. That tradition of sharing the great outdoors will never fade until one of us makes our final hunt. We share many memories from the woods and from the water. I Hope each and every one of you share some sort of tradition that involves the great outdoors...my father instilled a saying into my heart at a young age, he would say "the hunt should never be measured by the quantity or points, but by the memories and traditions made along the way." And that my friends is the purest most truthful quote about all aspects of life. Enjoy your day everyone!
